“Another enjoyable holiday @ The GV”
Once again many thanks for the great time we have just spent with you both. We really look forward to returning to The GV where we know our holiday will be stress free and everything taken care of for us. Brenda and Alli you are a remarkable duo and you have made your Guest House into a wonderful " home from home" experience.
Your attention to detail from the décor and meals to the hospitality is surely worth seeing it for yourselves. Go on holiday makers see for yourselves I'm only telling the truth give it a try!
“Hidden tresure of Blackpool”
This guesthouse was a charming and pleasant surprise to our stay in Blackpool. The owners were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable.
Cleaned everyday with top ups of towels and tea and coffee also nice biscuits. The breakfasts were amazing most definatly recommend the waffles with syrup and strawberries and raspberries amazing.
Located in a quieter area of Blackpool with a short 5min ride on the tram or a short walk into the bustling main front. We have been so impressed with this hidden gem we have already booked up for next year.
“Excellent hotel for our Blackpool Airshow visit. 10/10”
We made a special trip for the Blackpool Airshow and we found this absolute gem of a hotel. My fiancé and I were made welcome as soon as we arrived by Alison and Brenda. we then were given our key for our room and we were over the moon with the quality and style of the room. everything you would ever need was there and even things you wouldn't expect like a shoe shiner (which I needed) and a sewing kit.
in the room we had tea, coffee, bottled water, hot chocolate and biscuits, another nice touch was the 4 chocolates that were left in the room for us, a nice touch indeed. we were given a menu on the afternoon for the breakfast the day after.
I had the full English breakfast every morning which was beautiful but my fiancé was a bit more adventurous than me. On the first morning she had the waffles with strawberries, raspberries and grapes, and on the second day she had the pancakes filled with bacon and scrambled egg with honey and mustard dressing, she totally loved both dishes and on the last day had the waffles again.
I really cant praise the service enough. nothing was too much hassle.
Lovely Hotel, Lovely Room, Amazing Food and 2 Great People who run it.
DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN BLACKPOOL. We wont. That's why we booked up for next year as soon as we were leaving, with other members of the family wanting to go too.
“Best place to stay in Blackpool! ”
Stayed here for 2 nights in August for my birthday getaway... I booked after seeing all the excellent reviews on here. And I have to say it deffo lives up to all the excellent reviews! By far the best place to stay in Blackpool, so homely and welcoming the room was spacious and very very clean and have everything you need and more. Can't find fault at all.
Brenda and Alison were very welcoming and go the extra mile...I even received a birthday card which was left in our room for me, this was a lovely surprise. Thankyou! :-) We will deffo be back to stay sometime soon.
“Great week in Blackpool”
Stayed at the Grosvenor View for the second time under new ownership and had another great experience. The new owners Alison and her Mum Brenda couldn't do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room we stayed in had been recently decorated and was bright and airy with all the amenities you would expect from a top Hotel.
We were stopping on a bed and breakfast basis and the cooked breakfast was superb.
The food was always piping hot and it was good to have a fry up where you could actually taste the sausage and bacon. If you didn't want a full English breakfast then you could have various fruit juices, yoghurts and a choice of thirteen breakfast cereals!!
Overall an extremely good week in the north west helped by the excellent weather that week and the way we were treated by our hosts - well done you!
